Toast the slices of bread.

Halve the fig and cut into thin slices or quarter the cherry tomatoes.

Cut the chives into short pieces or pluck the basil leaves.

4.
Spread the pesto on the slices of bread and sprinkle over half the chives or top with the basil.

5.
Top each with 1/2 slice of Parma ham and figs or cherry tomatoes.

6.
Sprinkle with a little pepper and the remaining chives or basil.
